What happens when you let joy into your life

Everyone no matter who they are or what they have been through is capable of bringing more joy into their lives. It is hard sometimes to concentrate on the things that make us happy with so many negative influences around us. However, we owe it to ourselves to find that joy within. We were not put on this earth to be unhappy but we were put here to fulfil our potential and find what brings us joy.

What brings you joy, is it is spending time with your children, grandchildren, partner, friends? Whatever it is and it will be different things to different people, find the time to do it. It may be a long walk in the countryside, writing, reading, or learning.  Some people are lucky as they are doing what brings them joy on a daily basis. They could be artists, writers, musicians, mechanics, teachers, the list is endless.

What happens when we make time for joy in our lives? We feel more alive and other people can see it because joy speaks in a language of its own. Our skin, hair, body, and mind all respond. We feel motivated we have something to get up for in the morning. It is like being in love but instead of a romantic love it is a love of life. When we are doing something that brings us joy the hours and days pass quickly and it is infectious; others are positively affected by our presence, so how can you not afford to make time for joy in your life?

  1. This is so true. Last year, I was stuck working a job that was extremely stressful and unpleasant. I didn’t even want to get out of bed in the morning because I knew what I’d have to deal with that day. I really needed to make a conscious effort to focus on the good things that I’d also be able to experience during the day.

    • Thank you for your kind words, they mean so much. I am very pleased you found them useful.
